If you were using another backup software concurrently with BDRShield, inconsistency in backup sets might occur, especially when backing up SQL Server database(s) using multiple applications. This inconsistency arises from SQL Server changing the reference of the database dump when two schedules attempt to back up the same SQL Server database. Consequently, the backed-up data may become inconsistent when processed across two schedules.

1. Use Only One Backup Software for SQL Server Database Backups:

Configure SQL Server database backups using only one backup software to avoid inconsistencies.

2. Choose Full Backups for Added Redundancy:

1. If you opt for added redundancy with more than one backup software, configure only 'Full Backups' of SQL Server databases.
2. This ensures that BDRShield and other backup applications back up only full backups of SQL Server databases for each schedule.

3. Consider Time and Bandwidth Implications:

1. Keep in mind that this process may require more time and bandwidth.
2. Adjust the backup frequency based on your available bandwidth.

4. Prevent Schedule Collisions:

1. Ensure that backup schedules of any applications do not collide with each other.
2.  Schedule backups to occur upon completion of the other backup job to avoid conflicts.
