Steps for Manually Deleting Full Backup Data:
Step 1: Log in to the BDRShield Backup Server Web Console.
  1. Open your preferred web browser.
  2. Enter the URL of your BDRShield Backup Server Web Console.
  3. Provide the necessary login credentials (username and password).
Step 2: Access the List of Backup Jobs
  1. Once logged in, navigate to the Backup->List of Backup Jobs section in the Web Console.

Step 3: Identify the Backup Job to Manage.
  1. Select the specific backup job for which you want to delete the Full Backup data.
Step 4: Initiate the Deletion Process.
  1. Within the selected backup job, look for the Delete icon and click on it to initiate the full deletion process.
  • A pop-up will display multiple delete options:

    1. Select the " Delete Full Backup Data" option to delete the full backup data associated with the selected backup job.
    2. Click Next to open a pop up windows with all the Full backup data associated to the backup job.

Note: You will not be able to delete the latest full backup data. Only the Older full backup data can be deleted.
    Step 5: Confirm the Deletion.
    1. Once you click on the Delete icon for the full backup data to be deleted, a confirmation prompt will appear, requesting confirmation for the deletion action.
    2. Read the prompt carefully and proceed only if you are certain about the data to be deleted.
    3. Click "Yes" or "Confirm" to proceed with the deletion.

Step 6: Monitor the Deletion Progress.
    1. Once confirmed, the BDRShield Backup Server will begin the process of deleting the previous full backup data.
    2. Monitor the progress through the Web Console.
    Step 7: Verify Successful Deletion.
    1. After completion, verify that the previous full backup data has been successfully deleted from the backup job.
    Note:
    1. Manual deletion of backup data should be performed with caution, as it permanently removes the selected data from the BDRShield Backup Server.
    2. Always ensure you have a proper backup strategy in place and double-check the data to be deleted to avoid unintended data loss.
By following these steps, you can manually delete the full backup data from the BDRShield Backup Server Web Console. Remember to exercise caution during the process and verify the success of the deletion to maintain the integrity of your backup solution. Please contact BDRShield Support, if you have queries.
