After installing the Vembu ImageBackup driver on a Windows workstation, no disks and drives are listed in the backup application.

Solution:
Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Device Manager:
  1. Open Device Manager on the Windows workstation.
  2. Look for the "Vembu" driver under "Storage controllers" or "Disk drives."
  3. Ensure the driver is installed correctly without any error symbols (yellow triangle or red X).
2. Verify Disk Management:
  1. Open Disk Management on the Windows workstation.
  2. Check if the disks are listed with proper status.
  3. Ensure that there are no conflicts or errors related to the disks.
3. Restart BDRShield Service:
  1. Open the Services management console (services.msc).
  2. Locate the "Vembu ImageBackup Service."
  3. Restart the service and check if disks are now listed in the backup application.
4. Reinstall Vembu ImageBackup Driver:
  1. Uninstall the Vembu ImageBackup driver from Device Manager.
  2. Download the latest version of the Vembu ImageBackup driver from the official website.
  3. Install the driver again and check if the issue is resolved.
5. Verify System Logs:
  1. Check Windows system logs for any errors or warnings related to disk management.
  2. Address any issues identified in the logs that might be affecting disk visibility.
6. Check Disk Visibility in Other Applications:
  1. Confirm if the disks are visible in other disk management or backup applications.
  2. This helps determine if the issue is specific to BDRShield or a system-wide problem.
7. Contact BDRShield Support:
  1. If the issue persists after performing the above steps, contact BDRShield support for further assistance.
  2. Provide detailed information about the system, logs, and steps taken so far to expedite the troubleshooting process.
By following these steps, you can identify and resolve the issue of disks and drives not being listed after installing the BDRShield driver on a Windows workstation.
