This article provides step-by-step instructions to add KVM hosts to the BDRShield Backup Server by manually installing the BDRShield Delegation Service (BDS). This setup ensures seamless connectivity and allows efficient backup management for KVM hosts.
Download BDRShield Delegation Service (BDS):
Run BDS Setup:
Connection Verification:
telnet [BDRShield Server IP Address/DNS Name] [port]

- Go to the "Backup" tab in the BDR server console.
- Select "Configure Backup," then choose "Virtual Machines," followed by "KVM".
- Enter the required backup details and click "Next."
- Select the VMs you wish to back up from the list of added KVM hosts and complete the backup configuration process.
If the KVM host does not connect to the BDRShield Backup Server, check the logs for error messages.
