Unable to list the backed-up Hosts/VMs for restore. Please refer to KB: 115235.
This error may occur when BDRShield is unable to retrieve or display the list of backed-up Hosts/VMs in the restore configuration.
Possible causes include an unsuccessful initial backup or an inaccessible backup data location.
Initial backup was unsuccessful: The initial backup for the configured Host/VM did not complete successfully, so the required backup data may not be available for restore.
Backup data location is inaccessible: The configured backup storage location is unavailable or cannot be accessed by BDRShield.
Log in to the BDRShield console.
Navigate to the backup job associated with the affected Host/VM.
Check the status of the initial backup.
If the initial backup failed or did not complete successfully, review the backup job details and resolve the reported issue.
Run the backup again and verify that it completes successfully.
Identify the backup data location configured for the affected Host/VM.
Verify that the storage location is available and accessible.
For network-based storage, verify network connectivity and confirm that the required share or path is accessible.
Check whether the account used by BDRShield has the necessary permissions to access the backup data location.
If the location is unavailable or access is denied, resolve the connectivity, availability, or permission issue.
After verifying that the initial backup completed successfully and the backup data location is accessible:
Return to the restore configuration in BDRShield.
Retry listing the backed-up Hosts/VMs.
Verify whether the backed-up Hosts/VMs are displayed successfully.
If the issue persists after completing the above steps, collect the relevant backup job details, error messages, and logs, and contact BDRShield Support for further investigation.
