BDRSuite Linux Files and Folders Backup provides secure backup of individual files and folders on Linux machines. It allows you to easily schedule backups and manage retention policies, ensuring critical data is protected and can be recovered instantly at the time of data loss.

How to Get Started

Step 1: Download and install BDRSuite Backup Server

  1. To Install BDRSuite Backup Server, watch the Backup Server Installation Video below.

Step 2: Create Backup Repository Configuration

Configure local or remote storage such as DAS, NAS, SAN or Use your own public cloud storage like S3, Azure, Google, S3 Compatible like Wasabi, MinIO, etc as a backup storage target to store backup data.

Step 3. Add Linux as Data Source

Navigate to ‘Data Sources - Servers & Endpoints' menu. Make sure to install the BDRSuite Backup Agent on each Linux machine you plan to backup using Manual Agent Installation method. Watch the How-to Video below for detailed instructions.

Step 4: Configure Files & Folders Backup for Linux

  1. Specify a backup job name & select the backup repository.
  2. Select Files/Folders on the Linux machines you want to backup.
  3. Configure backup scheduling, retention and encryption policies.
  4. Save the backup job.
  5. You can monitor backup progress, edit job, view reports, check status and manage backup jobs centrally.

Step 5: Linux Recovery (File Level Recovery)

  1. Navigate to the 'Recovery - Restore Backup Data' menu.
  2. Choose the target Linux host you want to restore.
  3. Select the Restore type.
  4. Select Restore Point or timestamp to restore.
  5. Specify the restore details and initiate the restore.
