Yes, you can exclude specific VMs or Disks from the backup. You can exclude VMs when an entire host is selected. When it comes to disk exclusion, there are three options:
No Disks should be excluded: No disks will be excluded from the backup. By default, this option is selected.
Include only System Disks for backup: Exclude others (Typically Disk 0:0): This option will include only the OS Disks for backup and exclude others. Only the disk with the number 0:0 will be included for backup.
Exclude the following selected Disks from backup: This option will allow you to select the type of disk such as IDE, SATA, and SCSI that has to be excluded from the backup.
