How do I backup KVM virtual machines?

  1. Download & Install BDRShield: Download BDRShield 30-day free trial and setup in your environment

  2. Add KVM Host: Add KVM Host as Data Sources on BDRShield

  3. Configure backup repository: You can store the backup data on DAS, NAS, SAN, S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud, S3 Compatible storage – Wasabi, MinIO, Backblaze, etc

  4. Configure KVM backup job:

    • Select Hosts/VMs

    • Automate backups at specific intervals

    • Configure Retention & Encryption settings

  1. Save & Run the Backup Job: Backup will start to run as per the schedule
