Granular recovery of Microsoft SharePoint can be done directly from the BDRShield Backup Server. To begin, click on the Recovery tab and select Restore Backup Data. Choose the backup job to restore by clicking on the respective restore icon.
Several recovery options will be available to suit your needs.
Step 1: Choose Host and Restore Type
Select the host from the list and choose Microsoft SharePoint Recovery as the restore type.
Step 2: Choose the Restore Version
Select the restore point based on the retention policy used during configuration.
Step 3: SharePoint Database Selection
Choose the SQL Server instance from the drop-down menu and authenticate the connection using your credentials. You can choose the local or remote server and select the SharePoint database to restore. The disk with the chosen database will be mounted for the restoration process.
Step 4: Choose Restore Type
Select one of the following options:
- Restore Site
- Restore Library
- Restore Folder/Item
Step 5: Restore Options
Choose to either download the recovered data or export it to a SharePoint Server. For SharePoint Server export, provide the SharePoint URL, username, password, target site, and library location, and verify the SharePoint server's connectivity.
Step 6: Review & Restore
Review your restore configurations and click on Restore.
