Prerequisites for 'Download as PST' Operation

To ensure a seamless 'Download as PST' operation, the following prerequisites must be met:
1. Microsoft Outlook Installation:
Make sure Microsoft Outlook (64-bit) is installed and running on the machine where the BDRShield Backup Server is installed.
2. Service Logon Accounts:
Ensure that the logon accounts for BDRShield Services - Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are running with administrative privileges.
Note: Download as PST may fail if the BDRShield Service runs in the Local System Account.
Follow the steps below to change the logon account from a local system account to an account with administrative privilege:
  1. On the BDRShield Server (Windows), press the 'Win + R' keys on your keyboard to open the 'Run' window. Then, type 'services.msc' and click OK.
  2. Right-click on the BDRShield Service - "BDRShield Backup Server Microsoft 365" and "BDRShield Backup Server Google Workspace," and click on "Properties."
  3. Navigate to the "Logon" tab and choose the radio button - "This account."
  4. Specify the credentials (Username and Password) with administrative privilege and click OK.
  5. Restart the service to apply the new logon details.
